Stop sign-ins that still use legacy authentication
IdentityHigh severityNeeds EntraID P1
Old mail protocols such as IMAP, POP and SMTP AUTH sign in with a password alone and cannot ask for MFA. This reads the last 30 days of interactive sign-ins for them: a successful one is access no MFA policy covered, and failed ones are usually someone guessing passwords.
A scan reports where your tenant stands on this check — pass, fail with a step-by-step fix, or not applicable if your licensing doesn’t include the feature. When Tenant Strike can’t read a setting with read-only access, it says unverified and gives you a one-command way to confirm it yourself — it never guesses.
